How do I know if my home is a good candidate for solar?

During your free site visit, we will evaluate your roof’s condition, orientation, shading, and electrical equipment to determine the best solution for your home. Even if your roof is not ideal, there may be alternative options worth exploring. How long does the entire solar buying process take?

Every solar project is unique, but most residential solar installations are completed within three to four months. The timeline depends on factors such as engineering, local permitting requirements, utility approvals, equipment availability, weather, and installation scheduling. While some projects move more quickly than others, our team keeps you informed throughout every stage so you always know what to expect.

Will I need to replace my roof before installing solar?

Not necessarily! If your roof is in good condition and has many years of life remaining, solar panels can typically be installed without issue. However, if your roof is nearing the end of its lifespan, replacing it before installation may save you the cost and inconvenience of removing and reinstalling the panels later. During the site visit, we will assess your roof and discuss any recommendations.

What happens if the utility company loses power or there’s a grid outage?

Traditional grid connected solar systems automatically shut down during a power outage to protect utility workers repairing the electrical grid. If you want your home to continue receiving power during outages, you may want to consider adding a battery storage system. We will be happy to discuss backup power options during your initial consultation and site visit.
